Meet Stacey Casteel
I’m Stacey Casteel and I am running for School Board Director of the Greeley Evans School District 6.
A little about me, I grew up in Ault, Colorado. My husband is from Littleton and is currently serving our country in the Air Force. We have three kids. Two boys, ages 16 and 6 and a girl, age 16. Our two 16 year olds currently attend Greeley West High School, while our youngest attends Dayspring Christian Academy.
I have an associates in Accounting and Business Administration, a Bachelors in Business and Accounting, and a Masters in Business. I obtained all of my degrees with a GPA of 3.75 or higher.
I currently do capital expenditure billing for a multibillion dollar company, where I am a leader for my position and oversee finances of multiple locations. This experience would help make me the perfect asset to help the Greeley-Evans School District 6 oversee their multimillion dollar budget and ensure responsible spending of their funding, both from the government as well as taxpayers.
In my free time, I volunteer for the Weld Faith Partnership Council and the Human Services Advisory Committee, both for Weld County. I currently serve on the Greeley West High School School Accountability Committee, while making it a point to attend the District Accountability Committee meetings as well as the Equity Teams meeting for Greeley West.
I am running to be a School Board Director for the Greeley-Evans School District 6 because I want to be a voice for the students that are currently underserved by the school district. Whether it is academically, attendance, safety, or socially.
In addition, I am also running to take action on the concerns of all district teachers and staff, in an effort to appeal to and retain strong educators.
Finally, I am running to give parents of the students in the district the transparency they deserve.
